Cleaning the dental unit is crucial to ensure optimal functioning during working days. But how and when to do it?

CLEANING THE INTERNAL SYSTEM
First of all, it is good to know that there are specific products for this type of cleaning and sanitization. Our cleaning kit also includes this product! We are talking about the Vector from Dürr.
The procedure is very simple: simply dilute the cleaning product with water inside the dental unit bottle. After activating the bottle and removing the handpieces from the cordons, it will be enough to provide water from the cordons until the solution is finished. We recommend stopping the procedure halfway through to allow the product to act inside the tubes.
Once the bottle is empty, just repeat the operation using only water.
Cleaning the internal system removes microfilm from the pipes that supply water to the instruments. This prevents them from jamming during operations and allows you to always operate with clean water.
We recommend this procedure once a day in case of intensive work and, in any case, at least once a week.
CLEANING OF SUCTION PIPES
As with cleaning the internal system, we have specific products to perform this type of operation. We suggest the Orotol by Dürr.
Simply dilute the product in water in a bucket and vacuum it with the suction cannulas until it is finished. Nothing more than that! This is a very simple and fast procedure!
This operation is essential: not only water and saliva pass through the suction pipes, but also blood that can solidify by blocking the pipes that carry the fluids to the suction motor, which may also damage it. Another risk is the proliferation of bacteria in the pipes where the fluids aspirated during operations are deposited.
We recommend this procedure once a day in case of intensive work and, in any case, at least once a week.
CLEANING OF EXTERNAL SURFACES
For the cleaning of the external surfaces of the dental unit, we recommend a gentle product without alcohol so as not to ruin leather and plastic parts.
This type of product can be purchased in stores or directly from us!
Tecnoshield is a fantastic product that can be used for every medical device.
We also recommend not spraying the product directly on the surface of the unit but on a cloth. All surfaces of the dental chair can be disinfected in this way. The only points where more attention should be paid are the lamp, control panel, and monitor.
We also suggest a specific product to clean the leather: FD360 by Dürr.
It can be used in the same way as the Tecnoshield: use a cloth and do not spray directly. Very easy!
With these products, cleaning should be carried out daily.
